1313 AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section
1414 50-7-302 and Section 58-2-106, relative to
1515 emergencies.

1717 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
1818 SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 50-7-302(a), is amended by deleting
1919 the language "Personal Eligibility Conditions." and substituting:
2020 Personal Eligibility Conditions. Notwithstanding this subsection (a) to the contrary,
2121 upon declaration of an emergency pursuant to ยง 58-2-107, subdivisions (a)(3) and (4)
2222 are suspended to the extent necessary to allow the commissioner the discretion to
2323 amend such reporting requirements upon receiving appropriate federal guidance. Such
2424 a suspension is limited to residents of this state who reside or work in counties for which
2525 the state has requested a major disaster declaration.
2626 SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 58-2-106(b), is amended by adding
2727 the following new subdivision:
2828 (20) Be vested with the authority to assist political subdivisions and local
2929 emergency management agencies with recovery from disasters and emergencies on
3030 public property.
3131 SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
