1313 AN ACT to make appropriations for the purpose of
1414 defraying the expenses of the state government
1515 for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2024, and
1616 July 1, 2025, in the administration, operation, and
1717 maintenance of the legislative, executive, and
1818 judicial branches of the various departments,
1919 institutions, offices, and agencies of the state; for
2020 certain state aid and obligations; for capital outlay,
2121 for the service of the public debt, for emergency
2222 and contingency; to repeal certain appropriations
2323 and any acts inconsistent herewith; to provide
2424 provisional continuing appropriations; and to
2525 establish certain provisions, limitations, and
2626 restrictions under which appropriations may be
2727 obligated and expended. This act makes
2828 appropriations for the purposes described above
2929 for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2024, and
3030 July 1, 2025.

3232 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
3333 SECTION 1. From the funds available to the Department of Transportation, there is
3434 earmarked a sum sufficient for the sole purpose of funding any general bill or resolution, duly
3535 enacted by the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly, which
3636 designates an interstate, United States highway, or state highway as a memorial highway or
3737 designates a bridge on such routes as a memorial bridge for certain individuals killed in the line
3838 of duty, as described in Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 54-1-133.
3939 SECTION 2. It is the legislative intent to recognize a revenue loss from bills duly
4040 enacted by the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly that result in no
4141 expenditure increase but forgo revenue that has not been collected previously.
4242 SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it.
