| 13 | 13 | | AN ACT to make appropriations for the purpose of |

| 15 | 15 | | for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2024, and |

| 16 | 16 | | July 1, 2025, in the administration, operation, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | maintenance of the legislative, executive, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | judicial branches of the various departments, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | institutions, offices, and agencies of the state; for |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | certain state aid and obligations; for capital outlay, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | for the service of the public debt, for emergency |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and contingency; to repeal certain appropriations |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and any acts inconsistent herewith; to provide |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | provisional continuing appropriations; and to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | establish certain provisions, limitations, and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | restrictions under which appropriations may be |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | obligated and expended. This act makes |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | appropriations for the purposes described above |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | for the fiscal years beginning July 1, 2024, and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | July 1, 2025. |

| 32 | 32 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: |

| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 1. From the funds available to the Department of Transportation, there is |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | earmarked a sum sufficient for the sole purpose of funding any general bill or resolution, duly |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | enacted by the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly, which |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | designates an interstate, United States highway, or state highway as a memorial highway or |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | designates a bridge on such routes as a memorial bridge for certain individuals killed in the line |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | of duty, as described in Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 54-1-133. |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | SECTION 2. It is the legislative intent to recognize a revenue loss from bills duly |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | enacted by the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly that result in no |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | expenditure increase but forgo revenue that has not been collected previously. |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
