| 14 | 14 | | Sheriff's Office on the occasion of his retirement. |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the members of this General Assembly should honor |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | those citizens who have performed with uncommon devotion and enthusiasm throughout their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | careers in law enforcement; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Andy Lewallen is one such estimable individual, who has |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | devoted his life to the preservation of law and order and the protection of his fellow citizens; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, after forty-eight years of distinguished service to the Oneida Police |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Department and Scott County Sheriff's Office, Assistant Chief Lewallen recently took a much- |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | deserved retirement, having dedicated himself to the highest tenets of public service and law |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | enforcement throughout his career; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Lewallen is an active and important part of his community |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and profession, participating in numerous worthy organizations and lending his support to many |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | civic endeavors; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, during his retirement party, he was honored by friends and family, with 911 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | dispatch completing his last call over the radio, thus ending the career he began in 1976; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Lewallen has performed his duties with professionalism and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | integrity, helping his fellow citizens in any way that he could and proving himself time and again |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | to be a tremendous asset to Oneida and Scott County; and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Lewallen exemplifies the spirit and allegiance to community |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | that are characteristic of a true Tennessean; and |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, throughout his estimable career, Assistant Chief Lewallen demonstrated the |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | utmost ability and honor, winning the sincere respect and admiration of his colleagues and the |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | citizens of Oneida and Scott County; now, therefore, |
