1313 A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate David Moriarty on his
1414 selection as the 2024–2025 Summit High School
1515 Teacher of the Year.

1717 WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
1818 specially recognize those outstanding teachers who have devoted their careers to providing the
1919 highest-quality education for Tennessee's students; and
2020 WHEREAS, David Moriarty is one such estimable educator, who has distinguished
2121 himself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and
2222 WHEREAS, Mr. Moriarty has been selected as the 2024–2025 Summit High School
2323 Teacher of the Year, a most befitting honor that recognizes the positive influence he has on so
2424 many young lives; and
2525 WHEREAS, David Moriarty is an extremely talented and compassionate educator who
2626 works assiduously to motivate his students to reach their full potential, both as scholars and as
2727 citizens; and
2828 WHEREAS, Mr. Moriarty serves as an inspiration to his colleagues and students alike,
2929 and his friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know him; and
3030 WHEREAS, David Moriarty truly epitomizes the dedicated teacher who is wholly
3131 committed to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and he should be
3232 specially recognized; now, therefore,
3333 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
3434 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
3535 CONCURRING, that we hereby honor and congratulate David Moriarty on being chosen as the
3636 2024–2025 Summit High School Teacher of the Year, commend his exceptional service to the

4141 children of Tennessee, salute his professional expertise and personal excellence, and wish him
4242 all the best in his future endeavors.
4343 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
4444 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
4545 the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
4646 without House or Senate designation.
