| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, established advisory boards |

| 20 | 20 | | Tennessee at Chattanooga; and University of Tennessee Health Science Center; and |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, provides that the governor |

| 22 | 22 | | shall appoint five members to each advisory board; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Governor Bill Lee has appointed Todd Skelton to serve as a member of the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | advisory board for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, for a term that expires on June 30, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 2025; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Skelton is the general counsel of HF Capital, the family office for the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Haslam family, where he is responsible for legal matters related to investments; he previously |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | served as deputy counsel to Governor Bill Haslam, a member of the governor's senior staff, and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | primary drafter of the bill that created the University of Tennessee advisory board system; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-9-501, provides that each member |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | appointed by the governor to the advisory board for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, shall |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | be confirmed by the General Assembly; now, therefore, |
|---|
