| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-13-105, provides for the creation of |

| 16 | 16 | | the Public Charter School Commission; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-13-105(b)(1)(A), provides that the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | commission be composed of nine members appointed by the governor; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-13-105(c)(3), provides that at least |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | three members from each grand division of the state must serve on the commission; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Governor Bill Lee, acting pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated, Section |

| 22 | 22 | | 49-13-105, has appointed Terence Patterson as a member of the Public Charter School |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Commission representing West Tennessee for a term that will expire on June 30, 2029; and |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Terence Patterson is the chief executive officer of the Memphis Education |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Fund and the former chief executive officer of the Downtown Memphis Commission; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Harvard University |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and Master of Business Administration and law degrees from Northwestern University; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-13-105(b)(1)(A), provides that |
