| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-51-101, provides for the creation of |

| 19 | 19 | | the Tennessee education lottery corporation; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-51-103, provides that the governor |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | shall appoint seven (7) members to the board of directors of the Tennessee education lottery |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | corporation; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Governor Bill Lee has appointed Trey Watkins of Memphis to serve as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | member of the board of directors of the Tennessee education lottery corporation for a term that |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | will expire on June 30, 2029; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Trey Watkins is a partner at the accounting firm Watkins Uiberall, PLLC, in |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Memphis; he is an expert in audit preparation, compliance, and consulting services; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, while he focuses on the construction industry, he has experience in |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | manufacturing, nonprofit, government, and brokerage industries; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, a native of Memphis, he graduated from the University of Memphis with a |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | degree in business administration; and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-51-103(f), provides that each |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | member appointed by the governor to the board of directors of the Tennessee education lottery |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | corporation shall be confirmed by joint resolution of the general assembly; now, therefore, |
