| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-1-312, creates a standards |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-1-312(a), provides that the |

| 20 | 20 | | governor shall appoint four members to the standards recommendation committee for English |

| 21 | 21 | | language arts; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Governor Bill Lee has appointed Annie Dockery to serve on such committee |

| 23 | 23 | | for a term that expires on December 31, 2025; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Annie Dockery began her teaching career at Hardin Valley Academy in |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Knoxville, where she taught College Prep and Honors English; she currently serves as an |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | educator with Maryville City Schools, where she has taught at both the middle school and high |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | school levels; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, she is a 2020 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-1-312(b), provides that all |

| 30 | 30 | | appointments to the committee "shall be subject to confirmation by the senate and the house of |
