A RESOLUTION to recognize Dalton Wyatt Taylor upon attaining 
the rank of Eagle Scout. 
 
 WHEREAS, at a time when this nation's youth face difficult challenges, the Boy Scouts 
of America is one of our finest assets, providing young men and women with an educational 
program that contributes significantly to their character development, citizenship training, and 
improved mental and physical fitness; and 
 WHEREAS, the highest rank a Scout can attain in the Boy Scouts of America Scouts 
BSA program is that of Eagle Scout, and Dalton Wyatt Taylor, after considerable effort and 
diligent preparation, will join the prestigious Eagle Court of Honor; and 
 WHEREAS, a senior at West Ridge High School, Mr. Taylor began his Scouting journey 
in 2013 as a Cub Scout; and 
 WHEREAS, Dalton Taylor has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 387 since 2018, and 
his notable record of achievement includes thirty-eight merit badges and distinguished service 
as a leader among his peers; he earned his troop's Scout of the Year Award and the Paul Davis 
Leadership Award; and 
 WHEREAS, with a total of ninety-one camping nights, Mr. Taylor participated in three 
high adventure trips to BSA's Sea Base, Northern Tier, and Philmont Scout Ranch camps, and 
he attended summer camp at Camp Davy Crockett for seven consecutive summers; and 
 WHEREAS, Mr. Taylor's Eagle project greatly contributed to the betterment of his 
community and reflected the true spirit of volunteerism; for his project, he installed a water flow 
system to eliminate erosion problems at Bloomingdale Baptist Church in Kingsport; and 
 WHEREAS, his noteworthy achievement is a tremendous source of pride for his parents, 
Alan and Karen Taylor, his school, and his community, and it is appropriate that we should

pause to recognize Dalton Taylor as one of the most outstanding young people in our State; 
now, therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED 
FOURTEENTH GENERAL AS SEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE 
CONCURRING, that we hereby honor and congratulate Dalton Wyatt Taylor on becoming an 
Eagle Scout and extend to him our best wishes for every future success. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
