| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration in Shelbyville is the |

| 18 | 18 | | premier event for the Tennessee Walking Horse industry, showcasing these magnificent horses |

|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Bruce MacDonald and his horse Cavender, by a unanimous selection of the |

| 21 | 21 | | judge panel, captured the 2024 World Grand Championship at the eighty-sixth annual |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, no stranger to success, Bruce MacDonald had a prosperous business |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | career with franchises for Cummins diesel engines and Carrier Transicold; after Mr. MacDonald |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and his wife raised their two sons, Mrs. MacDonald thought it time to return to her love of |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | horses, and together, the couple captured success in the show ring; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Cavender was trained and ridden to victory by Tim Smith, who first spotted |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | the smooth moving, high-headed colt at the Abernathy Colt Preview in Mississippi in 2021; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Bruce MacDonald moved quickly and purchased the horse; his wife, Robin |

| 30 | 30 | | MacDonald, named the colt Cavender, an Irish name, meaning someone who is bold or brave, |

| 31 | 31 | | and Brenda Corey raised him under the direction of Cottonwood Farm; and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, as time went on, Cavender was a winner each time he entered the show |

| 33 | 33 | | ring, earning blue ribbons at the ThorSport Spring Fling in Murfreesboro and the Spring Fun |
