A RESOLUTION to recognize Jackson Mark Smith on becoming 
an Eagle Scout. 
 
 WHEREAS, at a time when this nation's youth face difficult challenges, the Boy Scouts 
of America is one of our finest assets, providing young men and women with an educational 
program that contributes significantly to their character development, citizenship training, and 
improved mental and physical fitness; and 
 WHEREAS, the highest rank a Scout can attain in the Boy Scouts of America Scouts 
BSA program is that of Eagle Scout, and Jackson Mark Smith, after considerable effort and 
diligent preparation, will join the prestigious Eagle Court of Honor on April 12, 2025; and 
 WHEREAS, his notable record of achievement as a member of Boy Scout Troop 273 
includes over fifty merit badges and distinguished volunteer service; and 
 WHEREAS, Jackson Smith's Eagle project greatly contributed to the betterment of his 
community, reflected the true spirit of volunteerism, and proved to be a formidable, yet 
attainable, challenge; and 
 WHEREAS, for his project, he renovated the press box and replaced the sound system 
and speakers at his high school's football field; and 
 WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we should pause to recognize Jackson Mark Smith as 
one of the most outstanding young people in our State; now, therefore,  
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED 
FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE 
CONCURRING, that we hereby honor and congratulate Jackson Mark Smith on becoming an 
Eagle Scout and extend to him our best wishes for every future success.

 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
