20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, two such individuals are Lee and Susan Moss, 2025 Rutherford Society |

21 | 21 | | Gala honorees and the recipients of the Dr. Liz Rhea Philanthropist Award from the Ascension |

22 | 22 | | Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation, an honor most befitting their unwavering commitment and |

23 | 23 | | significant contributions to their community; and |

24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation will host its eighteenth |

25 | 25 | | annual Rutherford Society Gala on March 29, 2025, at the Stones River Country Club; the event |

26 | 26 | | will feature keynote speaker Inky Johnson, a former University of Tennessee football player |
---|
27 | 27 | | turned motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and author; and |
---|
28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, the Rutherford Society Gala celebrates philanthropic excellence and |

29 | 29 | | recognizes donors who have contributed $1,000 or more to the foundation; and |
---|
30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Lee Moss, a respected banking leader, spent twenty-eight years at |
---|
31 | 31 | | SunTrust Bank, where he served as president of the Rutherford County market; he later |
---|
32 | 32 | | became chairman and CEO of MidSouth Bank before becoming president of Franklin Synergy |
---|
33 | 33 | | Bank; and |

34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Moss's leadership has earned him numerous honors, including the 2004 |

35 | 35 | | Jennings A. Jones Champion of Free Enterprise Award and being named the Rutherford County |

36 | 36 | | Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Business Legend of the Year; and |

44 | 44 | | participated in both the children's and adult choirs; and |

45 | 45 | | WHEREAS, together, Lee and Susan Moss have made significant contributions to their |

46 | 46 | | community, including a lead gift to expand the neonatal intensive care unit at Ascension Saint |

47 | 47 | | Thomas Rutherford Hospital, now named the Lee and Susan Moss Family NICU; their enduring |

48 | 48 | | commitment to service and philanthropy makes them deserving recipients of the Dr. Liz Rhea |

50 | 50 | | WHEREAS, Lee and Susan Moss have worked diligently to better the lives of their fellow |

51 | 51 | | citizens, and they are most worthy of our approbation; now, therefore, |
