1212 A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Virginia Stephens on
1313 her selection as the 2024–2025 Cornersville
1414 High School Grades 9-12 Teacher of the Year.

1616 WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
1717 specially recognize those outstanding teachers who have devoted their careers to providing the
1818 highest-quality education for Tennessee's students; and
1919 WHEREAS, Virginia Stephens is one such estimable educator, who has distinguished
2020 herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and
2121 WHEREAS, Ms. Stephens has been selected as the 2024–2025 Cornersville High
2222 School Grades 9-12 Teacher of the Year, a most befitting honor that recognizes the positive
2323 influence she has on so many young lives; and
2424 WHEREAS, she is an extremely talented and compassionate educator who works
2525 assiduously to motivate her students to reach their full potential, both as scholars and as
2626 citizens; and
2727 WHEREAS, Virginia Stephens serves as an inspiration to her colleagues and students
2828 alike, and her friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her;

3030 WHEREAS, Ms. Stephens truly epitomizes the dedicated teacher who is wholly
3131 committed to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and she should be
3232 specially recognized; now, therefore,
3333 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
3434 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
3535 CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Virginia Stephens on her selection as the

4040 2024–2025 Cornersville High School Grades 9-12 Teacher of the Year, commend her
4141 exceptional service to the children of Tennessee, salute her professional expertise and personal
4242 excellence, and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
4343 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
4444 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
4545 the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
