<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 489 By Vital HJR0489 006036 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to recognize and celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Creative Discovery Museum. WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly take great pleasure in recognizing an institution that has served as a cornerstone of cultural enrichment, educational innovation, and community engagement in Chattanooga for thirty years; and WHEREAS, renowned as the gateway to downtown Chattanooga, the Creative Discovery Museum has served nearly seven million visitors since its opening in 1995; and WHEREAS, the Creative Discovery Museum provides a welcoming space to explore the arts and sciences through museum visits, educational programs, camps, and special events for children of all ages and abilities; and WHEREAS, the Creative Discovery Museum has built a legacy of promoting intellectual curiosity, creative expression, and personal growth that strengthens the cultural fabric of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, and the State of Tennessee; and WHEREAS, the Creative Discovery Museum observes its thirtieth anniversary in 2025, and on May 10, the institution will celebrate this momentous occasion by hosting a special Day of Play, an all-day block party filled with hands-on activities and creative play; and WHEREAS, as the Creative Discovery Museum celebrates three decades of impact and looks ahead to creating lasting memories with generations to come, we wish to offer our gratitude for the sense of discovery and wonder the institution has brought to learning for thousands of children; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE CONCURRING, that we recognize and celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Creative - 2 - 006036 Discovery Museum and thank the administration, staff, and supporters of the museum for their ongoing commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, creative expression, cultural enrichment, and educational innovation in the Chattanooga community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
