13 | 13 | | on the occasion of its tenth anniversary. |

15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, it is the privilege of this General Assembly to recognize those premier |
---|
16 | 16 | | medical facilities that have compassionately and capably served the citizens of this State for |
---|
17 | 17 | | generations; and |
---|
18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Karis Community Health, a faith-based medical provider located in |
---|
19 | 19 | | downtown Cleveland, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, marking a decade of providing |
---|
20 | 20 | | the highest-quality health care to all who cross its threshold; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, the name Karis means "grace" and reflects Karis Community Health's |
---|
22 | 22 | | mission of providing excellent yet affordable dental care and health services to uninsured adults |
---|
23 | 23 | | throughout the community; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Karis Community Health began its healing ministry with Karis Dental in |
---|
25 | 25 | | 2015, prompted by a 2011 survey conducted by The Caring Place and The United Way that |
---|
26 | 26 | | determined the most prominent healthcare need in Bradley County was dental care; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Karis expanded in 2021 to include primary medical care and currently offers |
---|
28 | 28 | | dental, medical, and vision care, along with educational support to ensure long-term and holistic |
---|
29 | 29 | | success that is sustainable; and |
---|
30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Karis Dental offers comprehensive dental care along with life-changing and |
---|
31 | 31 | | recurring services, including dentures and regular cleanings for patients; and |
---|
32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Karis Medical's team of professional clinical staff provides check-ups, sick |
---|
33 | 33 | | visits, lab services, x-ray services, and free non-narcotic medications, focusing on disease |
---|
34 | 34 | | prevention and health behavior modification; and |

41 | 41 | | WHEREAS, Karis Community Health is dedicated to spiritually centered, holistic care |

42 | 42 | | that sustains and improves the health of each individual; and |

43 | 43 | | WHEREAS, for the last ten years, Karis Community Health has served the Cleveland |
---|
44 | 44 | | area with compassionate care that has been essential to the city's growth and the well-being of |

45 | 45 | | its citizens; now, therefore, |

46 | 46 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED |

48 | 48 | | CONCURRING, that we honor and commend Karis Community Health for ten years of |

49 | 49 | | compassionate, dedicated service to the people of Cleveland and this State, extending our best |

50 | 50 | | wishes for the institution's continued success in the future. |

51 | 51 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared |
