<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 607 By Carringer HJR0607 006974 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor Martin Daniel on being elected Chair of the Knox County Republican Party. WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should specially recognize those estimable public servants who work to improve the quality of life for their fellow citizens through their involvement in the political process; and WHEREAS, one such invaluable leader is Martin Daniel, who was recently elected Chair of the Knox County Republican Party for 2025-2027; and WHEREAS, Martin Daniel distinguished himself as an exceptional asset to the good people of the 18 th House District during his six-year tenure as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives; and WHEREAS, during his time in the General Assembly, Mr. Daniel rendered sterling service as chair of the House Government Operations Committee and a member of the House Judiciary, Insurance, State Government, and Business and Utilities committees; and WHEREAS, Representative Martin Daniel worked tirelessly on behalf of his constituents, bringing to his office the conservative values of hard work and common sense; and WHEREAS, after earning a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Memphis, Mr. Daniel practiced law, both with a firm and on his own, before leaving the legal profession to venture into outdoor advertising; and WHEREAS, Martin Daniel is wholly committed to the noble precepts of public service and political engagement that have earned Tennessee recognition as the Volunteer State, and he should be specially recognized on this special occasion; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HU NDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE - 2 - 006974 CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Martin Daniel on being elected Chair of the Knox County Republican Party, salute his unswerving commitment to living the examined life with courage and conviction, and extend to him our best wishes for much continued success and happiness.
