12	12	A RESOLUTION to commend James Boone II for exemplary
13	13	service as a legislative intern.

15	15	WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons
16	16	who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative
17	17	process; and
18	18	WHEREAS, James Boone II is one such individual who has distinguished himself in his
19	19	role as a legislative intern for Representative Mark White; Mr. Boone's work has resulted in
20	20	innumerable benefits for the legislators he assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and
21	21	WHEREAS, a student at the University of Memphis, where he is highly regarded by his
22	22	peers, James Boone has achieved academic success while majoring in legal studies with a
23	23	minor in Spanish and participating in numerous extracurricular activities; and
24	24	WHEREAS, Mr. Boone is a member of the Cecil C. Humphrey's Chapter of the
25	25	Tennessee Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers and Empowered Men of Color; he also
26	26	serves as the student leadership council program chair of The Hooks African American Male
27	27	Initiative; and
28	28	WHEREAS, eager to familiarize himself with the characteristics and complexities of
29	29	Tennessee State government and to further his studies, James Boone brought his many
30	30	abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred
31	31	Fourteenth General Assembly; and
32	32	WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Mr. Boone has surpassed all
33	33	criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and
34	34	WHEREAS, James Boone II has performed his many duties with extraordinary insight
35	35	and rare decorum; now, therefore,
36	36	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
37	37	FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE

42	42	CONCURRING, that we hereby commend James Boone II for outstanding service as a
43	43	legislative intern for Representative Mark White and extend to him our best wishes for every
44	44	future success.
45	45	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
46	46	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
47	47	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
48	48	without House or Senate designation.
