1212 A RESOLUTION to honor Jason Reuter on being named the
1313 2024-2025 MaxPreps National Coach of the
1414 Year.

1616 WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pay tribute to
1717 an excellent coach who has received a prestigious national honor for leading his team to
1818 unprecedented success in athletic competition; and
1919 WHEREAS, Jason Reuter, Head Coach of the Bradley Central High School girls'
2020 basketball team, has been named the 2024-2025 MaxPreps National Coach of the Year, a most
2121 befitting honor that recognizes his essential contributions to the Bearettes' incredibly successful
2222 season; and
2323 WHEREAS, this year, Coach Reuter led Bradley Central to the school's third
2424 consecutive TSSAA Division I, Class 4A state championship, thus completing a three-peat with
2525 a star-laden team that may be the best he has ever coached; and
2626 WHEREAS, the 2025 championship marks the fourth state title overall that the Bearettes
2727 have won under Coach Reuter's inspiring leadership, having previously claimed the Gold Ball
2828 trophy in 2024, 2023, and 2019; and
2929 WHEREAS, Coach Reuter is now 456-45 in fifteen seasons at the helm, with a program-
3030 best 91 percent winning percentage; and
3131 WHEREAS, in compiling a near-perfect 35-1 record in 2024-2025, Coach Reuter and the
3232 Bearettes became the winningest program in state history; and
3333 WHEREAS, Coach Reuter's Bearettes were ranked fourth nationally in the final
3434 MaxPreps Top 25, and they proudly represented Bradley Central as one of only three public
3535 school teams to finish in the Top 10 of the national rankings; and

4040 WHEREAS, Coach Reuter was fortunate to coach a veteran-laden team with six of the
4141 eight seniors signed to play college basketball, including Harmonie Ware, TaTianna Stovall,
4242 Avary Brewer, Malia Wilcox, Alliyah Osborn, and Love Howard, while standout junior Kimora
4343 Fields earned MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year honors and was named Class 4A Miss
4444 Basketball; and
4545 WHEREAS, Coach Reuter has praised not only his players for their selfless play, but
4646 lauded the contributions of his assistant coaches, Adam Belford, Amy Tinsley, and Keith
4747 Freeman, each of whom helped keep the team's expectations high; and
4848 WHEREAS, his many professional accomplishments aside, Jason Reuter is most
4949 grateful for the love and companionship of his wife, Melissa; and
5050 WHEREAS, Jason Reuter has distinguished himself as a great basketball coach,
5151 tactician, and motivator of young women, and he should be appropriately recognized on this
5252 special occasion; now, therefore,
5353 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
5454 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
5555 CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate Jason Reuter of Bradley Central High School
5656 on being named the 2024-2025 MaxPreps National Coach of the Year, recognize his thirty-one-
5757 year coaching career, and extend to him our best wishes for much continued success on the
5858 court and in life.
5959 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
6060 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
6161 the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
6262 without House or Senate designation.
