1212 A RESOLUTION to recognize Benton County Highway Supervisor
1313 Buck Carter on the occasion of his retirement.

1515 WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we should honor those citizens who have performed
1616 with uncommon devotion and enthusiasm throughout their years of service; and
1717 WHEREAS, Buck Carter is one such estimable individual, who has devoted his career to
1818 serving his fellow Benton Countians; and
1919 WHEREAS, after a nineteen-year tenure as Benton County Highway Supervisor, Mr.
2020 Carter is taking his much-deserved retirement on June 30, 2025; and
2121 WHEREAS, for nearly two decades, Buck Carter has done his utmost to ensure the
2222 safety and well-being of travelers in Benton County; and
2323 WHEREAS, his many accomplishments aside, he is grateful for the love and support of
2424 his family; in his retirement, he plans to spend more time watching his grandsons play ball; and
2525 WHEREAS, Mr. Carter exemplifies the spirit and allegiance to family and community that
2626 are characteristic of a true Tennessean; and
2727 WHEREAS, throughout his remarkable career, Buck Carter has performed his duties
2828 with professionalism, ability, and integrity, helping his fellow citizens in any way he could and
2929 proving himself to be a tremendous asset to the Benton County Highway Department; now,
3030 therefore,
3131 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
3232 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE
3333 CONCURRING, that we honor Benton County Highway Supervisor Buck Carter on the occasion
3434 of his retirement, commend his many years of distinguished service, and wish him every
3535 continued success in his future endeavors.

4040 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
4141 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
