| 13 | 13 | | the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic. |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we pay tribute to those exemplary organizations and their |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | remarkable personnel who work with purpose and conviction to improve the quality of life in their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | respective communities; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, one such estimable institution is the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic (CAC), |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | which is commemorating its fiftieth anniversary this year, marking five decades of providing the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | highest-quality allergy and immunodeficiency care; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic, founded in 1975 by Dr. Hyman Kaplan, was |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the first full-service allergy and immunology clinic in the city, and since then, CAC has met the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | needs of a population dealing with the effects of an exceptionally high pollen count; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, before CAC was established, Chattanooga residents traveled to Nashville |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | or Atlanta, Georgia, to see an allergy specialist; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, CAC treats allergies, asthma, immunodeficiency, and food allergies, in |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | addition to skin and sinus conditions in pediatric and adult patients; the clinic utilizes |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | compassionate care and seeks to increase the quality of patients' lives, while overall reducing |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | the need for emergency room visits and hospital admissions; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, since its inception, the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic has grown from five |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | employees and one location to more than 130 employees, six double-board-certified physicians, |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | eleven nurse practitioners, and eight locations in the Greater Chattanooga area and has seen |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | significant advancements in the testing and treatment of allergic disease and immunologic |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | deficiencies; and |

| 42 | 42 | | WHEREAS, we are privileged to recognize the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic for its |

| 43 | 43 | | countless contributions to the well-being of the citizens of Tennessee; now, therefore, |

| 44 | 44 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED |
