15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, organized in 1928 to promote leadership, personal growth, and career |
---|
16 | 16 | | success among high school agricultural students, FFA continues to play an important role in |
---|
17 | 17 | | ensuring the growth and prosperity of agriculture in Tennessee and the nation by expertly |
---|
18 | 18 | | molding our future leaders; and |
---|
19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, the FFA motto, "Learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, living to |
---|
20 | 20 | | serve," gives direction and purpose to these future leaders; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, the 2025 FFA Officers are one such group of distinguished future leaders; |
---|
22 | 22 | | they are T. Wayne Williams of Woodbury, president; Skylar Baird of Wilson Central, Middle |
---|
23 | 23 | | Tennessee vice president; Sarah Ault of Munford, West Tennessee vice president; Emily |
---|
24 | 24 | | Whitehead of William Blount, East Tennessee vice president; Shelbi Wallace of McEwen, |
---|
25 | 25 | | secretary; Eli Julian of Cookeville, treasurer; Paige Pardue of Hendersonville, reporter; and Lexi |
---|
26 | 26 | | Rush of Portland, sentinel; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, the Tennessee FFA State Officers have collectively achieved remarkable |
---|
28 | 28 | | accomplishments during their term, including completing eighty-two visits to FFA chapters |
---|
29 | 29 | | across the State; providing 147 workshops that focus on leadership, agriculture, and personal |
---|
30 | 30 | | development; impacting 7,673 students by fostering their growth and interest in agriculture and |
---|
31 | 31 | | leadership; facilitating six weeks of FFA camp, which provided students with unique learning |
---|
32 | 32 | | opportunities in a hands-on environment; facilitating seven leadership conferences; and |
---|
33 | 33 | | traveling 41,850 miles to reach FFA members in Tennessee and beyond; and |
---|
34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, one officer served as a chair for a national committee, representing |
---|
35 | 35 | | Tennessee FFA at the national level; seven officers traveled to Spain and Portugal as part of |
---|

43 | 43 | | across the country; and |
---|
44 | 44 | | WHEREAS, it is most appropriate that we commend this outstanding group of young |
---|
45 | 45 | | Tennesseans for their many achievements and contributions to Tennessee FFA; now, therefore, |
---|
46 | 46 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED |
---|
47 | 47 | | FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we honor and |
---|
48 | 48 | | commend the 2025 Tennessee FFA State Officers for their dedication and service, extending |
---|
49 | 49 | | our best wishes for continued success in their future endeavors. |

50 | 50 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared |

51 | 51 | | for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy. |
