1212 A RESOLUTION to recognize and congratulate George
1313 Dagermangy, winner of the 2024 Secretary of
1414 State's civics essay contest.

1616 WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize those industrious, talented students of
1717 Tennessee who bring pride and honor to our State; and
1818 WHEREAS, one such individual is George Dagermangy, who recently won first place
1919 among all students in grades K-2 statewide in the 2024 Secretary of State's civics essay
2020 contest; and
2121 WHEREAS, a resident of Williamson County and a student at St. Henry School, George
2222 was one of twelve overall winners across all grade levels; a total of 4,356 students participated
2323 in the contest, with the theme "Why Trusted Sources Matter"; and
2424 WHEREAS, in winning first-place in the essay contest, George Dagermangy will receive
2525 a $500 TNStars 529 College Savings Program scholarship and a trip to the State Capitol; and
2626 WHEREAS, additionally, George will serve as a House Page on the morning of April 3,
2727 2025, in recognition of his notable achievement; and
2828 WHEREAS, George's recent victory is a great source of pride for his family, his school,
2929 and his community; and
3030 WHEREAS, George Dagermangy's display of aptitude and ambition surely bodes well
3131 for his future success, and his dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of our respect,
3232 admiration, and commendation; now, therefore,
3333 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED
3434 FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we commend
3535 and congratulate George Dagermangy on his statewide victory in the Secretary of State's 2024
