16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we recognize those industrious, talented students of |

17 | 17 | | Tennessee who bring pride and honor to our State; and |

18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, one such individual is George Dagermangy, who recently won first place |

19 | 19 | | among all students in grades K-2 statewide in the 2024 Secretary of State's civics essay |

20 | 20 | | contest; and |

21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, a resident of Williamson County and a student at St. Henry School, George |
---|
22 | 22 | | was one of twelve overall winners across all grade levels; a total of 4,356 students participated |
---|
23 | 23 | | in the contest, with the theme "Why Trusted Sources Matter"; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, in winning first-place in the essay contest, George Dagermangy will receive |
---|
25 | 25 | | a $500 TNStars 529 College Savings Program scholarship and a trip to the State Capitol; and |
---|
26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, additionally, George will serve as a House Page on the morning of April 3, |
---|
27 | 27 | | 2025, in recognition of his notable achievement; and |

28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, George's recent victory is a great source of pride for his family, his school, |

29 | 29 | | and his community; and |

30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, George Dagermangy's display of aptitude and ambition surely bodes well |

31 | 31 | | for his future success, and his dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of our respect, |
