A RESOLUTION to recognize and congratulate Khadajah 
Kimbrough, 2025-2026 Miss LeMoyne-Owen 
College. 
 
 
 WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should specially recognize those emerging community 
leaders who strive to improve the quality of life for their fellow citizens while bringing beauty, 
grace, and purpose to all their endeavors; and 
 WHEREAS, one such superlative individual is Khadajah Kimbrough, who was recently 
named Miss LeMoyne-Owen College for the 2025-2026 academic year, a most befitting honor, 
as it recognizes her dedication to excellence; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Kimbrough, a senior biology major at LeMoyne-Owen College, is the 
seventy-seventh Miss LeMoyne-Owen College; and 
 WHEREAS, her platform initiative for her reign, "The R.O.S.E. That Grew From 
Concrete," seeks to ensure that every student on campus has a voice and is permitted to 
express ideas for the greater good of LeMoyne-Owen College; and 
 WHEREAS, Khadajah Kimbrough also aims to bridge the gap of student and staff 
connection on campus, while emphasizing mental health awareness; her plan is to enhance 
academic enrichment while also cultivating a more hands-on environment in every aspect of 
campus life; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Kimbrough is an exceptional role model and campus leader, and it is 
fitting that we recognize her worthy reign; now, therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED 
FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we commend 
and congratulate Khadajah Kimbrough, the seventy-seventh Miss LeMoyne-Owen College,

extending our best wishes for her success during her ambassadorial year and in all her future 
endeavors. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
