13+AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 63,
14+Chapter 6, relative to surgical assistants.

1916 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
20-SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-6-219(b )(1 ), is amended by deleting
21-the language "or the National Commission for Certification of Surgical Assistants or their
22-successors" and substituting "the National Commission for Certification of Surgical Assistants, the
23-American Board of Surgical Assistants, or their successors".
24-SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-6-219(b)(3), is amended by deleting
25-the language "by December 31, 2019".
26-SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. PASSED:
