1716 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
1817 SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 13, Part 1, is amended by
1918 adding the following as a new section:
2019 (a) It is an offense to knowingly activate and point a laser pointer or other device
21-utilizing a laser beam at a person operating an automobile, boat, aircraft, or other motor
20+utilizing a laser beam at a person driving an automobile, boat, airplane, or other motor
2221 vehicle.
2322 (b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.
2423 SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it, and
