| 17 | 17 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-1359(c), is amended by | |
| 18 | 18 | adding the following as a new subdivision: | |
| 19 | 19 | (3) This subsection (c) does not apply to a person who possesses or carries a | |
| 20 | 20 | firearm into an area where firearms are not permitted under this section if, upon the | |
| 21 | 21 | request of an individual authorized to control access to the property, the person | |
| 22 | 22 | immediately leaves the property or stores the firearm in a personal vehicle in accordance | |
| 23 | 23 | with ยง 39-17-1313. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it. |
