13+AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49,
14+relative to residential educational programs.

1416 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
1517 SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 3, is amended by
1618 adding the following as a new section:
1719 All residential educational programs in this state, regardless of type or duration,
18-that allow minors to participate or to access residential facilities must segregate all multi­
19-occupancy restrooms, changing areas, and showers by sex, as defined in§ 1-3-105(c).

2022 SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 50, Part 8, is amended by

23-that allow minors enrolled in elementary or secondary schools, as defined in § 49-6-301,
24-to stay overnight in residential facilities must segregate by sex, as defined in § 1-3-
25-105( c), all multi-occupancy restrooms, changing areas, and showers that are located in
26-the facility at which minors stay overnight for purposes of the residential educational
27-program.
