| 17 | 17 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 69-9-226(a), is amended by deleting | |
| 19 | 19 | subdivisions (1) and (2) and substituting the following: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) Has successfully completed a National Association of State Boating Law | |
| 21 | 21 | Administrators (NASBLA) approved boating safety examination that is approved by the | |
| 22 | 22 | agency; and | |
| 23 | 23 | (2) Has received a certificate from the agency as evidence of successful | |
| 24 | 24 | completion of an NASBLA approved boating safety examination that is approved by the | |
| 25 | 25 | agency; or | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 69-9-226(c), is amended by deleting | |
| 27 | 27 | subdivision (4) and substituting the following: | |
| 28 | 28 | (4) Shall be issued for a fee set by the commission. The commission may also | |
| 29 | 29 | set a separate fee for the issuance of a replacement card. | |
| 30 | 30 | SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 69-9-226(d)(4)(A), is amended by | |
| 31 | 31 | deleting the word "monitored". | |
| 32 | 32 | SECTION 4. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
