| 16 | 16 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 56-7-3111, is amended by deleting | |
| 18 | 18 | the last sentence of the section and substituting: | |
| 19 | 19 | If a pharmacy shares this information with a pharmacy services administrative | |
| 20 | 20 | organization or similar entity, then that organization or entity: | |
| 21 | 21 | (1) Shall not disclose the information to a third party; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (2) Shall comply, within five (5) business days of receipt, with a written | |
| 23 | 23 | request from the pharmacy that shared the information to destroy the shared | |
| 24 | 24 | information. | |
| 25 | 25 | SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
