AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17 and Title 49,
Chapter 1, relative to law enforcement-supported education programs.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 1, Part 4, is amended by
adding the following as a new section:
An LEA may implement the law enforcement against drugs and violence
(LE.AD.) program in schools operated by the LEA. An LEA's implementation of the
LE.AD. program may be in lieu of the DARE program.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. HOUSE BILL NO. 382
