| 17 | 16 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: |

| 18 | 17 | | SECTION 1. |
|---|
| 19 | 18 | | (a) The Tennessee advisory commission on intergovernmental relations (TACIR) |
|---|
| 20 | 19 | | shall conduct a study and prepare a report on recommendations on the continuum of |
|---|
| 21 | 20 | | care in this state and how the continuum of care can be improved. |
|---|
| 22 | 21 | | (b) The study and report must survey the continuum of care in other states and |
|---|
| 23 | 22 | | compare such care to the continuum of care in this state. This study must be conducted |
|---|
| 24 | 23 | | from TACIR's existing resources. |
|---|
| 25 | 24 | | (c) All appropriate state departments and agencies shall provide assistance to |
|---|
| 26 | 25 | | TACIR in connection with the study required by subsection (a). |
|---|
| 27 | 26 | | (d) On or before January 1, 2026, TACIR shall report its findings and |
|---|
| 28 | 27 | | recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to each member of the general |
|---|
| 29 | 28 | | assembly and shall provide a copy to the legislative librarian. The report may be |
|---|
| 30 | 29 | | delivered electronically. |
|---|
| 31 | 30 | | SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
