16 | 15 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
17 | 16 | SECTION 1. Each county election commission shall include the following questions on | |
18 | 17 | the November 2026 election ballot to serve as a non-binding, advisory referendum: | |
19 | 18 | Should the State of Tennessee legalize medical marijuana? YES or NO | |
20 | 19 | Should the State of Tennessee decriminalize possession of less than one ounce (1 oz.) | |
21 | 20 | of marijuana? YES or NO | |
22 | 21 | Should the State of Tennessee legalize and regulate commercial sales of recreational | |
23 | 22 | use marijuana? YES or NO | |
24 | 23 | SECTION 2. The secretary of state shall compile the results of the non-binding, | |
25 | 24 | advisory referendum, publish the results on the secretary of state's website, and forward the | |
26 | 25 | results to each member of the general assembly. | |
27 | 26 | SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
