| 17 | 17 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: |

| 18 | 18 | | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 50, Chapter 1, Part 2, is amended by |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | adding the following as a new section: |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Except as otherwise provided in § 63-6-204(f)(2), a restriction on the right of an |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | employee or contractor to practice the employee's or contractor's profession upon |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | termination or conclusion of the employment or contractual relationship is void and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | unenforceable in this state. |

| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-1-148, is amended by deleting the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | section. |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-6-204(f)(2)(B), is amended by |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | deleting ", except as allowed by § 63-1-148 or any successor section". |

| 28 | 28 | | SECTION 4. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 63-6-204(g)(2), is amended by |

| 29 | 29 | | deleting ", except as allowed by § 63-1-148 or any successor section". |
