15 | 15 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
16 | 16 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 39-17-1314(b), is amended by | |
17 | 17 | adding the following new subdivision: | |
18 | 18 | (5) If the city, town, municipality, or metropolitan government has a population of | |
19 | 19 | at least one hundred eighty-one thousand (181,000) and is located in a county having a | |
20 | 20 | population of not less than three hundred sixty-six thousand two hundred (366,200), | |
21 | 21 | according to the 2020 federal census or any subsequent federal census, the manner of | |
22 | 22 | storage of firearms, firearm ammunition, and firearm accessories. | |
23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it. |
