16 | 16 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
17 | 17 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-1-345, is amended by deleting the | |
18 | 18 | section and substituting the following: | |
19 | 19 | 4-1-345. Official state foods. | |
20 | 20 | The official state foods of this state are as follows: | |
21 | 21 | (1) Hot slaw; | |
22 | 22 | (2) Memphis barbecue; and | |
23 | 23 | (3) Nashville hot chicken. | |
24 | 24 | SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 4-1-349, is amended by deleting the | |
25 | 25 | section in its entirety. | |
26 | 26 | SECTION 3. The headings in this act are for reference purposes only and do not | |
27 | 27 | constitute a part of the law enacted by this act. However, the Tennessee Code Commission is | |
28 | 28 | requested to include the headings in any compilation or publication containing this act. | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 4. This act takes effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring it. |
