1212 AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 50,
1313 Chapter 3, Part 4, relative to occupational safety
1414 and health penalties.

1616 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
1717 SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 50-3-403, is amended by deleting the
1818 language "of up to seven thousand dollars ($7,000)" and substituting "of up to the maximum
1919 penalty allowed by the federal occupational safety and health administration (OSHA)".
2020 SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 50-3-404(a), is amended by deleting
2121 the language "of up to seven thousand dollars ($7,000)" and substituting "of up to the maximum
2222 penalty allowed by the federal occupational safety and health administration (OSHA)".
2323 SECTION 3. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 50-3-405(a), is amended by deleting
2424 the language "of up to seven thousand dollars ($7,000)" and substituting "of up to the maximum
2525 penalty allowed by the federal occupational safety and health administration (OSHA)".
2626 SECTION 4. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 50-3-405(b), is amended by deleting
2727 the language "of up to seventy thousand dollars ($70,000)" and substituting "of up to the
2828 maximum penalty allowed by the federal occupational safety and health administration (OSHA)".
2929 SECTION 5. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 50-3-406, is amended by deleting the
3030 language "of up to seven thousand dollars ($7,000)" and substituting "of up to the maximum
3131 penalty allowed by the federal occupational safety and health administration (OSHA)".
3232 SECTION 6. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it, and
3333 applies to prohibited conduct occurring on or after that date.
