15 | 15 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: | |
16 | 16 | SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 8-50-113(a), is amended by deleting | |
17 | 17 | the subsection and substituting instead: | |
18 | 18 | (a) The officers and employees of the various agencies, boards, and | |
19 | 19 | departments of state government are granted, without charge to the affected officers' or | |
20 | 20 | employees' accumulated leave accounts: | |
21 | 21 | (1) Three (3) days paid leave in the event of the death of such officers' or | |
22 | 22 | employees' spouse, parents, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, | |
23 | 23 | foster parents, or parents-in-law; and | |
24 | 24 | (2) Three (3) months paid leave in the event of the death of such officers' | |
25 | 25 | or employees' children or stepchildren. | |
26 | 26 | SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2025, the public welfare requiring it. |
