|---|

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pay tribute to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | those events that promote local business, entertain and educate our citizens, and celebrate the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | history and culture of the great State of Tennessee; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, the Greene County Fair is one such estimable event, which recently |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | received the most prestigious honor of being named the 2024 Champion of Champions Fair by |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the Tennessee Association of Fairs; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, among the many county, regional, and state awards that the Tennessee |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Association of Fairs annually presents, the Champion of Champions accolade is the highest |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | honor possible, and the Greene County Fair previously received this distinction in 1963, 1988, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | and 2005; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, with the help of the community, volunteers devoted more than 8,000 work |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | hours to plan and execute the fair, which, in addition to hosting 32,000 attendees in 2024, |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | displayed more than 3,000 exhibits and featured woodcarving, quilting, and canning, in addition |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | to beef, dairy, chicken, and sheep shows; and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, the Greene County Fair Board President Rick Clark, who has served the fair |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | in numerous capacities since 1999, is to be greatly commended for his hard work and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | dedication to making the fair the best in its classification; and |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, the success of the Greene County Fair and its well-earned recognition bring |

| 35 | 35 | | great pride to the people of Greene County, who every year unite with tireless dedication to |
