A RESOLUTION to honor Bud and Kay Mitchell on the occasion 
of their retirement. 
 
 WHEREAS, Bud and Kay Mitchell have taken a much-deserved retirement after thirty-
eight years of serving the motoring public as the proprietors of Bud's Tire in Murfreesboro; and 
 WHEREAS, during that time, the Mitchells and Bud's Tire helped thousands of families 
keep their vehicles properly maintained and operating safely on the road; and 
 WHEREAS, located at 3600 Woodbury Pike, Bud's Tire is a fixture in the Murfreesboro 
community, and the business has been noted for selling the highest quality products at 
reasonable prices; and 
 WHEREAS, throughout their ownership and management of this successful business 
venture, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell welcomed their loyal clientele with a warm, hometown feeling; 
and 
 WHEREAS, the Mitchells always treated their customers fairly, and their word was their 
bond; and 
 WHEREAS, Bud and Kay Mitchell are now embarking upon new adventures in their 
lives, while also spending more time with their family and friends; and 
 WHEREAS, Bud and Kay Mitchell are most deserving of our approbation on this special 
occasion; now, therefore,  
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF T HE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF 
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor Bud and Kay Mitchell for thirty-eight years 
of dedicated service to the vehicle owners of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County as the

proprietors of Bud's Tire and extend to them our best wishes for success and happiness during 
their retirement. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
