| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to pay |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | tribute to those students who, through their natural talents and unflagging commitment to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | academic excellence, have distinguished themselves in the classroom; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Lily Faith Pope is one such exceptional student, who was recently named |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the Valedictorian of the 2025 graduating class at Wayne County High School; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | steadfast commitment of time and talent, Ms. Pope has achieved outstanding academic |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | success and joined the ranks of the best and brightest students in Tennessee and our country; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, in her remarkable high school career, Lily Pope has earned an exemplary |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | 99.696 grade point average while participating in numerous extracurricular activities, including |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the Math Club, Interact, and Wildcat Den, as well as serving as president of the Beta Club and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | vice president of FFA, acting as a Wildcat Ambassador, and being voted Most Intelligent by her |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | peers; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Pope will graduate with honors, distinction, and work ethics distinction |

| 30 | 30 | | and as a Wayne County Volunteer Scholar, accolades that all point to her outstanding character |

| 31 | 31 | | and academic abilities; and |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, her display of intellectual aptitude and ambition surely bodes well for her |

| 33 | 33 | | future success as a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she will study |

| 34 | 34 | | animal science or some other subject in the natural science and geoscience fields; and |

| 35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, Lily Pope's noteworthy achievement is a tremendous source of pride for her |

| 36 | 36 | | parents, Bart and Amy Pope, her family, her school, and her community; and |
