| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to pay |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | tribute to those students who, through their natural talents and unflagging commitment to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | academic excellence, have distinguished themselves in the classroom; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mattie Kay McClain is one such exceptional student, who was recently |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | named the Salutatorian of the 2025 graduating class at Frank Hughes School; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, through diligent study, steady composure during examinations, and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | steadfast commitment of time and talent, Ms. McClain has achieved outstanding academic |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | success and joined the ranks of the best and brightest students in Tennessee and our country; |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, in her remarkable high school career, Mattie Kay McClain has earned an |

| 25 | 25 | | exemplary grade point average while participating in numerous extracurricular activities; and |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, her display of intellectual aptitude and ambition surely bodes well for her |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | future success, as she plans to attend Union University and pursue a degree in physical |

| 28 | 28 | | therapy; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Mattie Kay McClain's noteworthy achievement is a tremendous source of |

| 30 | 30 | | pride for her parents, Matt and Suzanne McClain, her school, and her community; and |

| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, Ms. McClain's dedication to excellence is clearly deserving of the respect, |
