WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should recognize those historic Tennessee businesses that have a long-standing commitment to providing exceptional service to their customers; and WHEREAS, one such estimable entity is Bacon & Company, Inc., which celebrates its 100 th anniversary this year, a commendable milestone for this notable Tennessee business; and WHEREAS, located at 206 West Summit Hill Drive in Knoxville, Bacon & Company is a multifaceted manufacturer and importer serving as a one-stop shop for custom embroidery, screen printing, promotional products, corporate gifts, team sports, uniforms, and specialty items; and WHEREAS, the company's services include creating corporate apparel and uniform programs, supplying sports team equipment and apparel, and marketing corporate promotional items; and WHEREAS, the divisions within Bacon & Company are Promotional Products/Apparel, Team Sports & Schools, Workwear/Uniforms, Wholesale, and Environmental & Facility Branding; and WHEREAS, the divisions of Bacon & Company work together and share best practices for the benefit of their customers; their combined buying power enables them to demand the best pricing in the industry; and WHEREAS, Bacon & Company offers a free, full-service in-house art department, in- house screen printing and embroidery, custom-designed web stores, a large distribution and - 2 - 005797 fulfillment center, major brand-name merchandise, private-label apparel, and over 300 active vendor relationships; and WHEREAS, Bacon & Company is currently listed as one of the top 100 licensees in the sports apparel markets and also in the top 100 distributors in the advertising specialty field; and WHEREAS, as the company celebrates this historic milestone, Bacon & Company remains steadfast in its mission to provide quality products and excellent customer service, which have been the cornerstones of this family-run business; and WHEREAS, since 1925, Bacon & Company has ably served the citizens of this State, and it is our privilege to recognize this outstanding business on this special occasion; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUN DRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we congratulate Bacon & Company, Inc., on 100 years of operation, wishing the iconic Tennessee business much continued success in the future.
