19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, designed by Lee Roy Reeves of the Third Regiment of the Tennessee |

20 | 20 | | National Guard and officially adopted by the Tennessee General Assembly on April 17, 1905, |

21 | 21 | | the State Flag of Tennessee has stood as a powerful emblem of State pride for more than a |

23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, the three stars within the flag's emblem represent the three Grand Divisions |

24 | 24 | | of Tennessee—East, Middle, and West Tennessee—united by a circle that symbolizes the |

26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, the red field signifies the valor and courage of Tennesseans; the blue circle |

27 | 27 | | signifies the unity of the State; and the white border represents purity and the State's resolve to |
