| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is our privilege to recognize those premier medical facilities that have |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | compassionately and capably served the citizens of this State for generations; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, one such entity is Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, which recently |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | celebrated its seventy-fifth anniversary, marking seven and one-half decades of providing the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | highest-quality health care to all who cross its threshold; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, established in 1950, Cumberland Medical Center traces its beginnings back |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to the efforts of pioneering physician Dr. May Cravath Wharton; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, a member of Covenant Health, Cumberland Medical Center is an acute |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | care hospital, offering state-of-the-art technology, private patient rooms, and specialized |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | services not usually found in rural medical systems; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, for the last seventy-five years, Cumberland Medical Center has served the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Cumberland Plateau area with compassionate care that has been essential to the region's |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | growth and the well-being of its citizens; now, therefore, |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH |
