12	12	A RESOLUTION to honor and commend Ruth Kiser Cooke on the
13	13	occasion of her retirement as the Union County
14	14	Republican Party Lady Vice Chair.

16	16	WHEREAS, we are pleased to honor those citizens who, through their extraordinary
17	17	efforts, have distinguished themselves as community leaders of whom we can all be proud; and
18	18	WHEREAS, one such noteworthy person is Ruth Kiser Cooke, who has served with
19	19	distinction as Lady Vice Chair of the Union County Republican Party and recently took her
20	20	much-deserved retirement, bringing to a close her illustrious tenure as a leader of that august
21	21	body; and
22	22	WHEREAS, investing her time in fostering the common good for thirty-five years, Ms.
23	23	Cooke has forever marked the Union County Republican Party with her indefatigable labors and
24	24	consistent excellence; and
25	25	WHEREAS, Ms. Cooke truly embodies the Republican principles of social, fiscal, and
26	26	governmental conservatism through her dedication of time, leadership abilities, efforts, and
27	27	resources; and
28	28	WHEREAS, Ruth Cooke epitomizes the spirit and commitment that are characteristic of
29	29	a true Tennessean, and she has distinguished herself as a public-spirited citizen of the highest
30	30	order and an exceptional asset to her community; and
31	31	WHEREAS, we find it fitting to acknowledge and applaud Ms. Cooke for her many
32	32	contributions to the good people of Tennessee, her unwavering commitment to others, and her
33	33	astute leadership in the Union County Republican Party; now, therefore,
34	34	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH

40	40	REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we commend and honor Ruth Kiser Cooke,
41	41	outgoing Lady Vice Chair of the Union County Republican Party, extending our best wishes to
42	42	her for continued success in all her future endeavors.
43	43	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
44	44	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
45	45	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
46	46	without House or Senate designation.
