1212 A RESOLUTION to commend Janeyah Anderson, Majority Leader
1313 of the 2025 Intern Mock Session.

1515 WHEREAS, each legislative session, we are pleased to welcome a select group of
1616 students who commit themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the
1717 legislative process as legislative interns; and
1818 WHEREAS, annually, during each session of the General Assembly, the intern class
1919 holds a mock legislative session and elects from among their membership a governor, a
2020 lieutenant governor, a speaker of the house, a majority leader, and a minority leader; and
2121 WHEREAS, Janeyah Anderson, a student at Lipscomb University, was elected Majority
2222 Leader of the 2025 Intern Mock Session for the first regular session of the 114

2525 General Assembly; and
2626 WHEREAS, during this legislative session, Ms. Anderson has served with distinction in
2727 her role as a legislative intern for Representative Torrey Harris; and
2828 WHEREAS, Janeyah Anderson's commitment to excellence is clearly deserving of the
2929 respect, admiration, and commendation of this General Assembly; now, therefore,
3030 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
3131 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
3232 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby honor Janeyah Anderson on her election
3333 as Majority Leader of the 2025 Intern Mock Session and extend to her our best wishes for every
3434 future success.
3535 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
3636 for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
