12	12	A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Robin Gayle Montague
13	13	Peak of Oakland.

15	15	WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of
16	16	the passing of Robin Gayle Montague Peak; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Robin Peak was an exemplary public servant and consummate professional
18	18	who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for her fellow citizens in numerous
19	19	capacities; and
20	20	WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak served with acumen and alacrity as a healthcare receptionist, in
21	21	which position she earned the respect of her peers and superiors alike for the exemplary quality
22	22	of her work; and
23	23	WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak was an active and devout member of Macon Church of Christ,
24	24	which she served faithfully for many years; and
25	25	WHEREAS, deeply devoted to her family, Robin Peak always endeavored to remain true
26	26	to family values of the highest order; and
27	27	WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak enjoyed the loving companionship of her husband, Donald Peak,
28	28	for forty-eight years and was the proud mother of Kylie (Jeff) Burrow and Christopher
29	29	(Katherine) Peak; and
30	30	WHEREAS, Robin Peak is further survived by her brothers, Tim (Sandy) Montague and
31	31	Andy (Michelle) Montague; and
32	32	WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Peggy Johnson
33	33	Montague; and
34	34	WHEREAS, in addition to cross stitching and watching Hallmark movies, Robin Peak
35	35	loved being with her family; and

40	40	WHEREAS, Robin Peak leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and probity in
41	41	public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all her chosen
42	42	endeavors; and
43	43	WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to
44	44	remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore,
45	45	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
46	46	GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOU SE OF
47	47	REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Robin Gayle Montague
48	48	Peak, reflecting fondly upon her impeccable character and her stalwart commitment to living the
49	49	examined life with courage and conviction.
50	50	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences
51	51	to the family of Mrs. Peak.
52	52	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
53	53	for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
54	54	the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
55	55	without House or Senate designation.
