<BillNo> <Sponsor> SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 428 By Watson SJR0428 007221 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to recognize and congratulate Chattanooga Employees Federal Credit Union on the occasion of its 100 th anniversary. WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly recognize those dynamic financial institutions whose contributions have been vital to the economic life of their respective communities; and WHEREAS, for the past century, Chattanooga Federal Employees Credit Union has capably served and earned the trust of customers in Tennessee; and WHEREAS, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution that exists to serve its members, Chattanooga Federal was chartered on January 13, 1925, and is the oldest established credit union in the region; and WHEREAS, Chattanooga Federal offers a complete line of financial products and services to meet customer needs; and WHEREAS, all family members of those eligible for membership may also join the credit union and take advantage of the many services; and WHEREAS, by virtue of being a member of Chattanooga Federal, individuals' savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government through the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government agency; and WHEREAS, Chattanooga Federal has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence for a century now, serving customers with nothing less than the utmost professionalism and financial acumen; now, therefore, - 2 - 007221 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor and congratulate the leadership, board members, and employees of Chattanooga Federal Employees Credit Union on the occasion of the institution's 100 th anniversary, commend their unflagging commitment to quality and integrity, and extend to them our best wishes for much continued success in the future. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
