A RESOLUTION to commend Jordan Riche for exemplary service 
as a legislative intern. 
 
 WHEREAS, each legislative session, this General Assembly is pleased to recognize 
certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment 
of the legislative process; and 
 WHEREAS, Jordan Riche is one such individual, who has distinguished herself in her 
role as a legislative intern for Senator Jeff Yarbro; her work has resulted in innumerable benefits 
for the legislators she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and 
 WHEREAS, this has been Ms. Riche's second consecutive legislative session serving as 
an intern for Senator Yarbro; she was warmly welcomed back to the Democratic Caucus and 
given additional trust and responsibilities beyond that of a standard intern, all of which she 
successfully completed while also making a point to assist and advise her fellow interns; and 
 WHEREAS, born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Ms. Riche is a 
student of the Honor's College at Tennessee State University (TSU), where she studies political 
science and English and is highly regarded by her peers; and 
 WHEREAS, as a student at Virgil I. Grissom High School, she was a co-founder of the 
Black Student Union and served as president of both the Student Government Association and 
Key Club; and 
 WHEREAS, during her collegiate career, Jordan Riche has served as a member of Pi 
Sigma Alpha, Sigma Tau Delta, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the TSU Student Election 
Commission, and Women of Empowerment, Frankie J. Pierce Federated Chapter of the 
National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc.; and

 WHEREAS, a proven leader, Ms. Riche was honored with the TSU Undergraduate Civic 
Engagement Award and has been an AmeriCorps Service Member for Shower the People in 
Nashville; she has served as vice president of Model United Nations and president of the 
Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature team at TSU; and 
 WHEREAS, Ms. Riche aspires to create policies that will have meaningful effects on 
others; during her time as an intern for Senator Yarbro, she has regularly attended bill review 
meetings and provided her thoughts and recommendations for legislation, and she was 
entrusted with drafting talking points for legislation; and 
 WHEREAS, Jordan Riche brought her many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol 
Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly; and 
 WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Ms. Riche has surpassed all criteria 
that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and 
 WHEREAS, Jordan Riche has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and 
rare decorum; now, therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE O F TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF 
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Jordan Riche for outstanding 
service as a legislative intern for Senator Jeff Yarbro and extend to her our best wishes for 
every future success. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
