| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should specially recognize those outstanding teachers |

| 17 | 17 | | who have devoted their careers to providing the highest-quality education for Tennessee's |

| 18 | 18 | | students; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Ashlee Sexton is one such estimable educator, who has distinguished |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | herself as a professional of the greatest dedication, ability, and integrity; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sexton has been named the 2024–2025 Teacher of the Year at |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Southside Elementary School, a most befitting honor that recognizes the positive influence she |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | has on so many young lives; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, an educator for nineteen years, Ashlee Sexton serves as the grades K-8 |

| 25 | 25 | | general music teacher and the grades 6-8 choir teacher; she holds a bachelor's degree in music |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | education and a Master of Arts degree in Education; and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sexton serves as an inspiration to her colleagues and students alike, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and her friendship and counsel are highly valued by those who are fortunate to know her; and |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Ashlee Sexton truly epitomizes the dedicated teacher who is wholly |

| 30 | 30 | | committed to the highest ideals of public service and quality education for all, and she should be |
